Facilitated Department of Defense (DoD) participation in strategic US Government efforts to interdict Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)and related material & systems. Identifies National Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) capability gaps and provides solutions to Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Staff, Combatant Commands (CCMDs) and the Interagency. Analyzes US military CWMD interdiction capabilities in support of the National Military Strategy to CWMD. Maintains global WMD situational awareness and synchronizes global CWMD priorities with Geographic CCMDs. Serve as lead planner synchronizing DoD CWMD efforts with other CCMDs and all military services. Implement strategy for CWMD that supports national strategic guidance and frameworks; support military-force planning and doctrine to organize, train, exercise, and equip the Military Service to Counter WMD.
